My husband and I got married at Whitby on 11.8.2024 and it was a better day than I could have ever dreamed of! Whitby was the venue I had always dreamed of. It is absolutely stunning to begin with. The food was incredible across the board (highly recommend upgrading to the sushi chef for cocktail hour - my guests couldn't stop talking about it!) The entire staff was amazing to work with. Niki was so responsive to me while planning and always helped with every detail and Ralph made sure the entire day went off without a hitch. I could not recommend more. Multiple of our friends and family still keep telling us it was one of the best weddings they have ever been to, and that is definitely because of Whitby!

Perfect location for wedding, corporate event or any special occasion. Can accommodate up to 150 guests comfortably. Grounds are beautiful, one of kind experience reminded me of villas in Italy.

I had had a bad experience with one of the greeters but I spoke to the manager and all is well now. So please ignore my previous bad review. We will be going back

My daughter and new son n law choose the Whitby castle to celebrate their wedding day. I am sure we have all attended many wedding and there has been a variation and great and ehhhhhh. Well let me tell you that the Whitby castle was amazing. Every little detail from when we booked it with Niki until it was time to it over to Ralph who coordinated the rest of the evening. The food was fantastic, the castle is incredible with its view and the staff were flawless in their delivery. If you want to perfect wedding setting call Niki and let her coordinate your event and make sure you get Ralph this guy cares about your most important day.

My dream venue was a castle on the beach, and Whitby is a castle overlooking the water (in the distance, close enough). It has all the charm and character of an historic castle, but it also has a modern ballroom and amenities. The location was central to us in Connecticut and our friends and family in NYC, New Jersey, and Massachusetts. The one weird thing is that, on Saturdays, they have two weddings, one in the early afternoon and one in the late evening. For this reason, we chose to have our wedding on a Friday, and it worked out perfectly. We were able to rent the bridal suite and have the place to ourselves for the whole day, and it was so convenient to get ready and have the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all in the same place. From Niki the catering sales manager to Ralph the operations manager/our maitre d' to Roxie our bridal attendant, the staff was incredible. Niki and Ralph went through every detail with us, answered our millions of questions, and accommodated last-minute changes flawlessly. Roxie was so helpful and knowledgeable, from offering my mom heel protectors to assisting with my dress. The in-house catering was delicious and plentiful, too. We were allowed to customize the menu by mixing and matching ingredients from different dishes. As if getting married in front of a castle isn't amazing enough, they really level up the outdoor ceremony experience by having the bride make a surprise entrance from the willow tree on the opposite side of the lawn. All of the guests were blown away. We also used this tree for our first look and couple portraits. I felt that Whitby was reasonably priced for an all-inclusive venue with such amazing service and food. I would recommend it a million times over.

We wish we could give Whitby Castle more than five stars! We just had our wedding there, and it exceeded even our highest hopes and expectations. Niki and Ralph were incredibly warm, responsive, courteous, and professional, from the contract to the moment we drove off at the end of the reception. The food was exceptionally good, and it was plentiful. They also offered us a few extra food offerings (a couple special appetizers, a sundae bar with all the toppings you could ever want, donuts and apple cider that guests could take as they left, etc.) that were not at all expensive, and we got so many compliments from everyone for them. The whole event ran smoothly thanks to Ralph's work orchestrating it the whole afternoon and evening, and their server staff were also very professional and on the ball. To say we feel we got our money's worth is an understatement, and we took advantage of the long holiday weekend to have our event on a Thursday, at a discounted price and with a lower minimum of attendees. We can't list the myriad little details offered by Whitby Castle that made the whole thing easier and more affordable than expected. We were able to relax, savor the moment, and enjoy our day with all of our friends and family. We cannot recommend Whitby Castle enough. Thank you, Niki and Ralph!

Had the wedding of my dreams at the Whitby Castle almost a month ago now and I cannot stop raving about the AMAZING experience my husband, family and friends all had! Our entire wedding planing process leading up to the wedding was incredibly smooth with the help of Nikki! The day of our wedding everything went perfect and as planned thanks to Ralph! He has the best attention to detail! The food was super delicious! We had an open bar and the drinks were so good! The wait staff and bartenders were very attentive and kind. I highly recommend planning an event with this venue as they go above and beyond to make your special day stress free and very magical!

Whitby Castle is modeled after Whitby Abbey in England, including some of the original Abbey stones. Located in Rye, New York, Whitby Castle is located on 126 acres. The location is BREATHTAKING! Bring a good camera, you will need it. Once on the location you are instantly transported what seems to be Worlds away. It is stunning & any Bride or Groom would be blessed to have this as their wedding venue. There is a grand ballroom & 2 private reception rooms, so it can easily host 2 weddings at a time. My Cousin & her husband were married on a beautiful Sunday in August. The weather was nice. It was very warm & cooked down quickly after their 5 PM wedding. We were quickly ushered to the deck upstairs which had a beautiful spread of Hors d'oeuvres. The Hors d'oeuvres were impressive! Not only was there a huge charcuterie board, there were hot appetizers passed around. There were tons of vegetarian & some vegan options... fruits like cut melons, berries & veggies. There was also a carved meat station & pastas. All this before the reception! We were well fed. And the views! Oh, my God! They were amazing. I was not prepared for how beautiful it would be. I truly regret not having a good camera with me. Thankfully, my husband walked around snapping pics that I could "borrow" & post. The staff here was so friendly & accommodating.
